Apologies for my sporadic posting here! Sorry about that!
This is actually a really good thing however, because I’m currently working hard on the second book.
Bodekka: Daughter of Lutor is going to end up longer than the first! However, I’m not quite done yet. I currently have around 106,000 words, or around 395 pages of text, and there will be a few more pages yet before I start format it, then get it edited.
I had a major brainstorm late in writing, which I had to add into the book, so in the process I’ve had to cull a couple of excellent concepts, which I will likely end up incorporating into the third book of the series: Boas and Qila.
The second book has a softer more feminine viewpoint. That doesn’t mean she’s gone soft however, because Bodekka the heroine of our story lives up to her namesake, Boadicea, Queen of the British Iceni Tribe, who died in AD 60 or 61. We don’t know exactly how she died, as there are two versions.
